Our Science
From local treatment to systemic immunity
Our viral vector-based Tumor Cell Immunogenization (TCI) technology is designed to compel immunogenic changes within the tumor microenvironment and extend the resulting antitumor immunity to distant, untreated tumors.
Problem: Tumor Targeting
Despite the use of tumor markers, off-target side effects limit the therapeutic efficacy. This is especially true for Immune Check Point inhibitors such as Keytruda and for RNA/DNA based therapeutics.
Our Solution: Engineered Vector
We have developed a viral vector that targets fast proliferating tumor cells and delivers the therapeutic payload into the tumor mass, allowing minimized exposure to normal cells.
Problem: Tumor Suppression
Tumor microenvironment is associated with the suppressive effects of immuno-inhibitory cells such as Tregs, MDSCs. Together, they create barriers for establishment of antitumor immune therapy.
Our Solution: Enforced Immunogenicity
Our payload is designed to "edit" the tumor environment by causing immunogenic cell death, tumor antigen (TA) display & enhanced TA presentation by APCs, culminating in systemic antitumor immunity.
